Fall Hit the Stores…Here’s what’s in our carts

Cashmere Cardigan, Reformation

“It’s a cashmere-ical!” (name that TV show) Love a classic cashmere sweater and the fact that this is a cashmere cardigan because cardigans are IN. The oversized fit is super relaxed and not only will keep you comfortable all season long, but warm too.

Midi Dress, Wolf & Badger

This dress is so unique and perfect for Fall & Winter. I envision styling it with a harness belt, statement earrings and killer boots or pumps. The silhouette is so structured, to me, it looks like something you’d see on a catwalk.

Harness, H&M

Enter harness I referenced wearing above :) I own a few harnesses like this one and I think it’s such a unique accessory to an outfit. I very much like the simplicity and thin straps of this one…the price isn’t bad either!

Western Boots, Isabel Marant

Western Boots are back this season and I’m looking to invest in a nice, neutral, yet somewhat unique pair, like these from Isabel Marant. I love the chunky block heel, the mid calf length, and silver toe caps. Definitely a staple pair of shoes for seasons to come.

Jacket, Anine Bing

This jacket is so elegant and chic - I personally love the design and quality of Anine Bing’s clothes. Her aesthetic screams classically chic and the quality of her clothes absolutely matches the price tag. This jacket can be styled numerous ways and will remain IN style for years to come. Absolutely a must have investment piece.

Ballet Flats, CHANEL

Ballet flats are back as well, however; to me, they never went out of style. Now, pop of color and metallic ballet flats are NEW! I’ve seen a few silver metallic styles from retailers like Zara and Sam Edelman but, to me investing in a high quality pair is the way to go. I’ve been in love with my Chanel leather espadrilles since purchasing and I think this pink pair of ballerinas is next on the Chanel shopping list.

Designer Denim, KHAITE

I’ve been seeing and hearing about this brand, KHAITE, for some time now and I’m ready to give her a try. Big advocate for splurging on 1-2 designer pairs of denim to really elevate any look.

Suit Separates, Anine Bing

We’ve seen a return of the 90’s relaxed and high waisted pleated shorts. I’m into it and have been looking for the perfect pair. Love the suiting separates style because it makes one item of clothing so universal with the rest of your wardrobe. These are an absolute minimalist must!

Embroidered Sweater, B&sh

I thought that this embroidered sweater was such a cute alternative to your neutral sweaters or cardigans. Dress up or down and KNOW that you’ll be the only one wearing it. Such a unique find.

Wool Blazer, Anine Bing

Quality blazers are not only a seasonal staple but a wardrobe MUST…and I don’t mean just one…I mean several. I own two Anine Bing blazers already, plain black and houndstooth, but my closet is missing a beige tone made of quality wool. I love the pattern here because it’s versatile enough to match with similar beige tones, black, or other neutral colors.

Flannel, Percival

A perfect workhouse for this season is the Shacket or Workshirt.  Layer this midweight item over a lighter base layer as the weather remains mild, and then this piece can become the base layer once the weather turns to the true crisp fall coolness we know and love.

Wallabees, Clarks

I am as surprised to see these in my cart as you are…but they are having a moment and I am here for it!  The crepe sole is comfortable and the silhouette fits the retro vibe for Fall.  There are many more colors and fabrics than previously available, so there are options for any style.

Denim, Nudie Jeans

I am definitely favoring a looser, wider silhouette for jeans this Fall. Planning to pair them with a slimmer fit shirt or sweater to balance the proportions.  The style and wash of these jeans provide a neutral foundation to support any trend you are looking to try out this season.

Sweater Polo, Bonobos

Long sleeve knit polos are a perfect transition piece as the weather slowly cools down.  This option will add a pop of color and can be paired with any basic foundation pieces.

Corduroy Pants, MANGO

My brain equates fall weather with the corduroy fabric and these pants help fulfill that notion while keeping with this trending 70s vintage vibe.  Paired with fine knit sweaters in neutral tones, these pants will go far this season and into the next.

Wool Overshirt, Reiss

I am ready for evening dates around the fire at a winery and I plan to wear this easy wool overshirt layered over a tee or turtleneck, once the temperatures really drop.  This option can be dressed up or down, making it a great investment piece for this season and many to come.

Boots, Nisolo

The weather can be unpredictable, but your boots don’t have to be!  These water resistant boots feature elements not only for style, but comfort also.  Everyone needs a pair of boots ready for wherever the day’s adventure takes them!

Leather Briefcase, Mr. Porter

As the seasons change, I like to switch out my work bag.  I’ve been liking the tote bags as a catchall, but I am ready to transition back to a proper briefcase.  This full leather option has all the organization you could need and even has the slip pocket to slide this over your suitcase when traveling.

Cardigan, COS

Laura and I often have similar items in our carts and that is the case for this style cardigan!  It definitely fits the retro vibe that I am feeling this Fall, but is also a classic shape that is perfect to have at the ready for whenever you feel chilly.

Suit, Ted Baker

My friends are more Fall Wedding people than Summer Wedding people, so a new suit is a must this season.  I typically try to find classic suits that can be styled more on the fun side for a wedding and then more conservatively for the office, allowing me to get more uses out of these investment pieces.
